Watermelon Smoothie Recipe

Total Time7 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of seedless watermelon chunks about half a medium melon, chilled
  • 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt for creaminess and protein
  • Juice of 1 lime freshly squeezed, don’t you dare use the bottled stuff
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or agave nectar optional, only if your watermelon is underperforming
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish, because we're fancy

Instructions

  • Prep your watermelon. Chop your chilled watermelon into rough chunks. Pro tip: if your watermelon isn't cold, the ice will dilute everything.
  • Nobody wants a sad, watery smoothie.
  • Add everything to the blender. Toss in the watermelon, Greek yogurt, lime juice, your optional sweetener, and ice cubes.
  • Blend until smooth. Start on a low setting and then ramp it up to high for about 60 seconds. You’re looking for a completely homogenous, slushy texture.
  • Taste and adjust. Is it tangy enough? Add more lime.
  • Not sweet enough? A drizzle of honey. You are the master of your smoothie destiny.
  • Serve immediately. Pour it into a glass, slap a mint leaf on top for the 'gram, and consume.
  • Hesitation is not recommended.
